LumiraDx Care Solutions has won the “Best Digital Innovation in Healthcare” category at the 2018 Cornwall Live EDGE Awards. Winners were announced at a ceremony last week at the Lighthouse Cinema in Newquay.
The EDGE Awards were set up in 2017 to celebrate Cornwall’s place as one of the fastest-growth areas for digital and tech businesses in the country. The “Best Digital Innovation in Healthcare” category recognises technology and innovation in healthcare that is helping to change the way patients are treated or how they control their own healthcare. LumiraDx won the award for their engage app – an innovative, easy-to-use app that delivers a self-testing programme for people on warfarin and is available on smartphone, tablet and web
The technology behind engage has been developed by the team at LumiraDx Care Solutions who are anticoagulation experts with over 20 years of experience delivering safe, efficient support software to the NHS in the form of INRstar, the market leading anticoagulation management software. Anticoagulation patients in the UK can now access the first truly integrated self-care solution – available to 2,700 INRstar NHS locations across the UK with significant potential cost savings for CCGs.
