Marcus Evans is very proud to announce Dr. Zach Mueller, Chief Nursing Executive at Medical City Healthcare, HCA North Texas Division and Jennifer Wagenaar, Chief Nursing Executive at HCA- Mountain Division as speakers at the National Healthcare CNO Summit which will take place on March 18-19, 2019 at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena, Los Angeles.
Dr. Zach Mueller has worked in nursing for nearly 20 years, beginning at the bedside in oncology and then as a trauma RN in the emergency department. He has also served in a variety of leadership roles, including in director roles of education, paediatrics, and cardiovascular services. His career achievements include speaking nationally and internationally on a variety of nursing and healthcare topics. As a dynamic Chief Nursing Executive at Medical City Healthcare, Dr. Mueller is passionate about nursing and leadership and is actively involved in driving organizational and system performance, and championing a highly engaged, compassionate, and outcomes-driven workforce.
Jennifer Wagenaar is the Chief Nursing Executive for HCA’s Mountain Division. In this position, Jennifer oversees the overall strategic direction for the practice of nursing operations across 11 hospitals throughout Utah, Idaho and Alaska. Jennifer previously served as the Chief Nursing Officer for West Valley Medical Center, a HCA Healthcare System facility. Prior to coming to HCA, Jennifer worked for Sanford Health System, as CNO for a start-up hospital in South Dakota. Her 14 years with Sanford Health also included various leadership roles including system oversight of quality, medical staff services, and risk management.
In addition to her current work with HCA, Jennifer has also served as a board member of the Nurse Leaders of Idaho organization and member of the Utah Organization of Nurse Leaders.
At the upcoming National Healthcare CNO Summit, Dr. Zach Mueller and Jennifer Wagenaar will be speaking about Driving Leadership at the Bedside. Despite intense workloads and competing priorities, providing cutting edge leadership skills for bedside nurses and leaders is vital for an efficient and effective operation.
