IHF Awards 2019 Winners Announced_01

The IHF Awards 2019 winners were announced earlier this month during the 43rd World Hospital Congress in the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, with Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital from Taiwan winning the most coveted Gold Award for the IHF/Dr. Kwang Tae Kim Grand Award for their project “A comprehensive and sequential solution enhancing the quality care of acute myocardia infarction”.

The winners were selected by an international jury of renowned healthcare industry leaders chaired by Dr. Lawrence Lai, Honorary Member of the International Hospital Federation (IHF).

Commenting on the winners, Dr. Lai said “Choosing the winners this year has been particularly difficult because of the very high standards and quality of all submitted entries. This year, we’ve come up with what I believe to be the best set of winners from a good spread of countries. That said, some countries are definitely doing better than others. My heartiest congratulations to the UAE for winning 5 out of the 27 awards this year.”

The IHF Awards, now on its fifth year, celebrates and recognizes hospitals and healthcare organizations with demonstrable excellence, innovations, and outstanding achievements in the healthcare industry. This year, it attracted 121 entries from 34 countries.
