Boutique-style healthcare event heads to Leeds for more industry-leading case studies, networking, targeted business meetings and keynote presentations on transformational change within the NHS
Healthcare Partnership Network (HPN) will return this spring for its 2019 event, providing a platform for NHS leaders to come together to share their own views and experiences, as well as being a showcase for current active innovations.
Taking place on the 12th and 13th of March 2019, HPN, which is exclusively for director and senior NHS leaders, is completely free of charge to delegates, and includes meals, refreshments and an overnight stay at Oulton Hall, Leeds.
Transformational change within the NHS is challenging to implement correctly. That, combined with the ever-changing technology landscape and the national determination to, streamlining business processes whilst seeking to maintain leading-edge patient care is difficult. Whilst some succeed in implementing a cohesive strategy, many NHS organisations are still rankling with their decision making. Unfortunately, there isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ solution to this problem.
Healthcare Partnership Network (HPN), created by Partnership Network Events (PNE) allows NHS leaders to come together to share their own views and experiences as well as listen and learn from others in the healthcare sector.
At HPN’s next engagement, delegates will experience a range of keynote presentations, leading case studies, formal and informal networking, along with targeted business meetings with suppliers. The event has a boutique style, which encourages discussions and more interactive networking on a personal level.
The 2019 event is being chaired by Jonathan Lofthouse, Director of Improvement for Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Jonathan has worked within the NHS for 26 years, the last 10 as a leading health executive. Focusing his career predominately upon Acute and Ambulance services, Jonathan has worked as an Executive Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive serving some of the most challenged health organisations in the UK. Having worked both nationally and internationally, since 2016 Jonathan has been leading transformational improvements within Merseyside.

Consequently, I am proud to be supporting this conference as its Chairman.”
HPN 2019 boasts an impressive line-up of speakers covering a host of key healthcare issues, including:
- David Loughton, Chief Executive of The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, who will be setting out his organisation’s journey from a traditional acute care provider to one which provides integrated primary, secondary and community services.
- James Devine, Chief Executive of Medway NHS Foundation Trust presentation, who will include reflections on the Trust’s ambitious approach to improvement: addressing financial uncertainty and widespread inefficiency; grasping the nettle of the Trust’s clinical and quality strategy; improving operational performance.
- Phil Richardson, Chief Systems Integrations Officer of Dorset CCG, who will cover what sits behind the scenes of Dorset’s journey to become a successful Integrated Care System. He will share the experiences across the clinical, digital, governance, scrutiny and collaboration space.
- David Walliker, CIO of Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen NHS Foundation Trust, who will discuss how the GDE site have seen a massive reduction in Sepsis Mortality and Cardiac Arrests following the removal of paper records.
- Eileen Jessop, CIO of The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, who will be discussing how to be an awesome Digital Service in an Outstanding NHS Organisation.
